Intruder Alarms

Being a fully approved company with The National Security Inspectorate, we are accredited under the:

  • NACOSS Gold scheme for design, installation and maintenance of electronic security systems, this includes; Intruder Alarms, Access Control Systems & CCTV Systems.

These industry schemes, recognised by insurers, indicate that our company will provide a service/installation which fully complies with a standard and that our practices are supported by a BS EN ISO 9001.2000 management system. To ensure this, the NSI body, audits our systems twice a year.

  • Following the introduction of the new European Standard, EN50131, regarding the installation of intruder alarms, there is now a requirement to produce a documented 'Risk Assessment'.
  • Previously, although not formally recorded, this had been carried out by the surveyor while attending a site, highlighting issues that required attention, whether physical or electronic security.
  • Intruder alarm systems are now specified and designed to take into account the insurers loss, i.e. the value of the attractive stock/possessions in a property, whether the property has any previous theft history and the grade of notification required.
  • The risk assessment document is completed and incorporated with the site details and a copy is included into the literature accompanying with the quotation.

Intruder alarm systems are designed to suit your needs will be evaluated after a full security survey and consultation with you by our surveyor. The system will be designed around individual requirements whether it be for the commercial or domestic environment. With the introduction of the modern pet tolerant detectors our systems can now cater for the family pets.

Intruder alarms are installed to the highest standards and comply with

BS EN50131-1, PD6662:2004 and DD243:2004, as well as the requirements and standards laid down by our inspectorate, the National Security Inspectorate (NSI). Priority is given to neatness and efficiency keeping visible cables to a minimum.

Guest Security offer a full monitoring service with an NSI NACOSS approved Alarm Receiving Centre as well as audible only systems. High security communications can also be offered using BT RedCare and CSL DualCom.

Monitored systems now offer the additional benefit of remote re-setting, saving you the cost of an engineer visiting site after an activation to re-set the system. For the larger commercial systems the more sophisticated diagnostic up-load / down-load systems can be offered.

Each new system installed is issued with an NSI NACOSS certificate of conformity. Insurance companies normally require an NSI NACOSS recognised company to install and maintain alarm systems in commercial premises but increasingly more are offering a reduced premium on domestic premises which have an NSI NACOSS recognised intruder alarm system. Production of this certificate is usually all that is required in order to gain your insurance premium reduction.

In the event of an emergency, 'on call' duty engineers are available to back up the excellent service, guaranteeing a four hour response.

Only leading manufacturers of control and detection equipment are used such as Cooper Menvier, Castle Care-Tech, Scantronic, Pyronix Texecom and Rokonet.
